Swimming is a valuable life skill, and many parents choose to introduce their infants to the water at an early age. Infant swim lessons are not only about acquiring swimming techniques but also about developing comfort, confidence, and safety in and around the water. Lessons will be structured and tailored for each infant’s comfort level. Parent participation in the pool is optional.

A beginner swimmer is comfortable in the water with flotation devices, and is beginning to develop strokes with basic proficiency. Lessons will focus on key fundamentals including comfort, safety, breath control, buoyancy and movement.

An advanced beginner swimmer typically demonstrates fundamental aquatic skills, is comfortable in the water without flotation devices, and is beginning to develop strokes with basic proficiency. Lessons will focus on further refinement of those techniques, building stamina, and fostering water safety awareness.
